Project Overview
Design & Build of 13 New Industrial Units
OGL Construction has been appointed to deliver the design and build of 13 new industrial units, strategically located to enhance the local commercial infrastructure. The is designed for flexible B2 and B8 use classes, supporting both industrial and storage/distribution operations.
Currently a vacant site, the project presents a valuable opportunity to meet growing demand for small-to-medium scale industrial spaces in the area. The site layout includes two parallel rows of units, each with its own dedicated parking and access, and additional shared parking to the south. The units are accessed via an existing northern entry point, leading onto a newly constructed yard designed for efficient vehicle manoeuvring and accessibility.
Surrounding context includes residential property to the south, a commercial yard owned by the client to the north, landscaped banking to the west, and existing security fencing along the eastern boundary.
The units are being constructed with robust and sustainable materials, including an engineered brick plinth, Kingspan Quadcore wall panels, aluminium doors and glazing, and insulated panel roofs fitted with rooflights and solar panels to enhance energy efficiency.
The scheme is being delivered in close collaboration with Sunderland Peacock and is progressing on schedule, with completion expected by September 2026.
