OGL Construction was contracted by Ornamental Trees Limited for the conversion of an agricultural site into a commercial warehouse. The project aimed to create a climate-appropriate environment for tree cultivation, following the client’s successful acquisition of Class Q planning permission.
The project was secured through a competitive tender process, with OGL Construction chosen for its competitive pricing, adherence to timelines, and strong health and safety record.
During the project’s commencement, it was identified that the existing site lacked a suitable power supply. OGL Construction facilitated the installation of a new three-phase 100 kVA supply from Northern Power, ensuring operational needs were met.
The warehouse construction required a dual-purpose design, balancing insulation for office spaces with an open structure for tree cultivation. To meet these requirements, SIPs, an insulated wooden panel system, were installed.
Key Achievements:
· Transformation of an agricultural site into a functional commercial warehouse, meeting the needs of tree cultivation and office space.
· Awarded external work including a fully concreted yard with palisade surrounds.
