Project Overview
OGL Construction has been appointed to deliver the refurbishment and redevelopment of the North York Moors National Park Headquarters, providing upgraded operational facilities designed to support the long-term functionality and efficiency of the Authority’s estate.
The scheme includes comprehensive refurbishment and redevelopment works, incorporating architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and interior design elements. The project is being delivered under a full design and build arrangement, with OGL Construction assuming responsibility for the coordination, development, and delivery of the completed design solution in accordance with the Employer’s Requirements.
Site setup and preliminary mobilisation works have now been completed, with main construction works scheduled to commence on site in June 2026. OGL Construction is currently progressing pre-construction coordination, statutory approvals, and detailed programme planning in preparation for the main delivery phase.
The works involve close collaboration with the retained consultant team including Bowman Riley as Architect and Interior Designer, Dudley Consulting Engineers as Civil & Structural Engineers, and Power Group Services for Mechanical & Electrical design coordination.
As part of the delivery strategy, OGL Construction is responsible for the full coordination of construction activities, statutory approvals, Building Regulations compliance, utility coordination, and phased programming of the works. The scheme also incorporates all necessary inspections and liaison with North Yorkshire Building Control Partnership throughout the construction process.
The redevelopment has been carefully designed to enhance the operational efficiency, longevity, and sustainability of the headquarters facility while ensuring the continued functionality of the site throughout the delivery programme.
