OGL Construction was appointed by Ramsden Properties Ltd to undertake a comprehensive programme of car park and infrastructure improvement works at Gordon Mill, Guiseley.
The project involved the refurbishment and alteration of the site’s existing drainage infrastructure, together with the reconfiguration and extension of the external areas to provide additional car parking capacity for the established commercial development.
A combination of traditional hard surfacing and the Bodpave® system was incorporated across the scheme, providing a practical solution for the additional parking areas while introducing permeable surfacing as part of the wider site drainage strategy.
The works also included significant earthworks and landscape remodelling, including the formation of a new pond and associated surface-water outfall. These formed an important part of the drainage improvements, helping to manage surface-water flows while integrating the new infrastructure into the wider Gordon Mill site.
Working within an established commercial environment, OGL coordinated the drainage, earthworks, surfacing and external works to minimise disruption to the existing development and its occupiers.
Completed in September 2022, the project was delivered four weeks ahead of the original programme, providing improved parking provision, upgraded drainage infrastructure and enhanced external areas.
