OGL Construction was appointed by Ciceley Commercials Ltd to undertake the comprehensive refurbishment of its existing Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealership on Western Street, Bolton, introducing the latest Mercedes-Benz corporate identity and dealership standards.

The project represented OGL’s first appointment for Ciceley Commercials and required the transformation of the existing facility while allowing the busy van and truck dealership to remain fully operational throughout the construction programme. Careful phasing, segregation and coordination of the works were therefore fundamental to successful delivery.

The works included the comprehensive refurbishment of the dealership’s customer-facing areas, creating a modern front-of-house environment incorporating a new reception area and entrance lobby. The refurbishment brought the existing facility in line with the latest Mercedes-Benz branding requirements while improving the overall customer environment.

Alongside the front-of-house improvements, OGL refurbished and upgraded the back-of-house and operational accommodation, improving the working environment for staff while maintaining the practical requirements of a busy commercial vehicle operation.

Externally, the scheme incorporated a new service canopy, alterations to the existing car park and associated external works. These elements were carefully coordinated around ongoing vehicle movements and the day-to-day servicing and operation of the dealership.

Working collaboratively with Sunderland Peacock, OGL coordinated the refurbishment, internal alterations and external works through to completion, successfully delivering the project in just under 24 weeks.

Completed in July 2024, the Bolton dealership became one of the first facilities to adopt the new Mercedes-Benz branding requirements. The successful delivery of the scheme established OGL’s relationship with Ciceley Commercials and led to subsequent appointments across the client’s dealership portfolio in Darwen, Carlisle and Dumfries.
