Moor Grange

OGL Construction is delivering the £1.5m redevelopment of Moor Grange, a prestigious private residential scheme on the southern edge of Ilkley, adjoining the historic landscape of Rombalds Moor.

The works include the demolition of the existing Moor Grange dwelling and integration of the former house plot into the wider landscaped grounds of Overdale, together with the construction of a new detached annex and garage, extensive landscaping, alterations to the existing driveway arrangements and closure of the existing access serving Overdale.

Works commenced in January 2026. The scheme combines substantial retaining structures, a steel frame and concrete construction with a sophisticated waterproofing system, requiring careful coordination throughout the build.

A key consideration is the site’s proximity to a nationally important prehistoric cup and ring stone, protected as a Scheduled Ancient Monument. OGL is delivering the works in accordance with an agreed archaeological protection strategy, with controlled working methods, protection measures and exclusion zones in place to safeguard the monument and its setting throughout construction.

The completed development will provide high-quality ancillary accommodation, improved access arrangements and enhanced landscaped grounds, delivered sensitively within one of Yorkshire’s most distinctive historic landscapes.
