OGL Construction has been appointed by the North York Moors National Park Authority to deliver its new headquarters in Helmsley, providing a modern, sustainable and purpose-built facility to support the Authority’s long-term operations.
The new headquarters provides approximately 13,240 sq ft of accommodation across two floors, bringing together modern office, meeting, staff and operational spaces within a building designed specifically around the requirements of the National Park Authority.
The project is being delivered under a Design & Build arrangement, with OGL responsible for coordinating and developing the architectural, structural, civil, mechanical and electrical design through to construction and completion. The consultant team includes Bowman Riley, Dudley Consulting Engineers and Power Group Services.
Sustainability and energy efficiency are central to the design, with a high-performance building envelope and renewable technologies incorporated to reduce operational energy demand and support the Authority’s long-term environmental objectives.
The building combines a modern structural solution with high-performance external wall and roof systems, extensive glazing and carefully considered internal accommodation. Building services are coordinated as an integral part of the design to create an efficient and future-ready working environment.
OGL’s works encompass the complete delivery of the scheme, including groundworks and drainage, structural construction, building envelope, mechanical and electrical installations, internal fit-out, utility coordination and associated external works.
Upon completion, the new headquarters will provide the National Park Authority with a modern and efficient operational base, designed specifically around its requirements and its location within one of the UK’s most important protected landscapes.
